Design
Music and Media technology has the ability to transform learning in the classroom, providing teachers with tools that engage, challenge and motivate pupils in their creativity and learning. Counterpoint's vision is to assist schools in implementing effective and appropriate technology solutions that enable this potential to be realised.
Music and Media suites require facilities and spaces that are to be fully integrated if the departments are to realise the true potential of the development. Lack of proper integration results in facilities that are frustrating, unreliable, and difficult to use. Aspects requiring careful attention with regard to integration include:
- Specialist Music Computer Provision
- Computer Music & Media Networking
- Audio and Video Networking
- Electronic Keyboard Facilitie
- Recording Studios
- Practice Rooms
- Other Performance Spaces
Our consultants work closely with a School's Teaching Staff and SMT, LA Education Advisors, ICT Managers, FFE Consultants, Architects, Electrical Contractors and Room Layout Consultants to ensure careful attention to detail at the design phase.
- Overall Solution Design
- Department Room Design
- Acoustic Treatment Specifications
- General Equipment Specifications
- Room Layout Plans and Furniture Specification
- Cabling Schematics and Specifications
- Music, Media & Arts Specialist Network Specifications

"We are still absolutely delighted with our new recording suite. The system has proved to be robust and reliable, making it a dream to use.
The recording suite has been used extensively to deliver the current GCSE and AS Music Technology courses. Here it has proved to be straightforward for both students and staff to use and has consistently
produced excellent results. It is therefore with a great deal of excitement and confidence that we will start to deliver the A2 Music Technology course next year."
